We're your behind-the-scenes hosts, a couple with Danish roots, that was entrusted with this magical property in 2021, where the previous Italian owners handed over the keys to their life’s work to us.

Since then, our aim has been simple: to refine what can be improved, preserve what is timeless, and safeguard the spirit of this place — a sanctuary where guests can slow down, reconnect with nature, and find calm among the gentle hills that embrace La Cassera.

As for what led us here, we’re not entirely sure — perhaps it was Vito, our dog, whom we brought to a truffle school in the neighbourhood, when we first visited the place. What we do know is what we carry with us every time we leave: a renewed sense of what truly matters, of the value in giving, and the cost of taking away.

We believe that peace is possible, and that harmony between people and the natural world is not a luxury, but a necessity.
